This is a good looking club, too good looking. Feels like a hotel lobby rather than a jazz club. The atmosphere simply wasn't there. Even the musicians felt tired (and got unenthusiastic applauds). The show started 30 minutes late and during that time, you have to stand in a queue outside, without any seats available. Service inside was cordial. The... More

I went to NYC with my friend Kay. I love jazz music but find myself generally in the minority with my other friends. I listen to the fabulous WBGO jazz radio station online back in the UK and Dizzy's Club is always mentioned. As I had the opportunity I thought I'd book a set the week I was in town.... More

Don't be fooled by the title. For around 25 bucks, you can watch the likes of Wynton Marsalis joking with young members of the audience and, leading a band riffing on Count Basie. In the heart of Manhattan. Wonderful auditorium.

We really enjoyed our evening at Dizzy's. It is definitely the real deal for jazz. It has a casual, intimate setting with a very nice skyline view. The price is accessible ($40 ticket plus $10 pp spend minimum) for the experience you get. We did not realize they served dinner; the next time we go we will have dinner there... More

We had a great time at Dizzy's club while were were on vacation in NY. I'd recommend this to anyone. We did the late night jazz, had drinks while enjoying the music we got to look at the amazing view.

We were there for a dinner with friends and on stage there was a very nice band of 5 musicians. The place is not to big and therefore you are really close to the musici. Even if it is a place were you go specially for the music, the food was nice. On the back of the orchestra, a very... More

Perfect for an evening out for locals, business event, or taking friends visiting NYC. You have the option of skipping the table/dinner service and sitting along the wall on stools, but if the budget allows, sit at a table, have a leisure dinner and watch the sunset and enjoy fabulous music. It's pricy but worth it.

We went to a Monday concert on short notice, seats at the bar; quite ok. But why can't the club inform visitors of the actual cover charge? This became evident first when the check arrived!! HOWEVER, the concert was great!

We were lucky to be able to get tickets for an early evening (7.30pm) performance with seats at the bar. The show was fantastic, the venue overlooked Central Park and as the evening progressed we also got to enjoy a great view of the Manhattan skyline after dark. It is quite expensive when you add up the cost of entrance,... More

I visited New York eight years ago and saw Sherrie Maricle and the Diva Jazz Orchestra play at Dizzy's. It was a fantastic evening, and I knew that on any return visit to New York I would go to Dizzy's again. I finally managed to go back at the beginning of September 2016 and saw the Nate Smith Trio. I... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
