Not a fan of this restaurant - much prefer the Midtown location. Different menu, more affordable prices, and much nicer staff in Midtown on West 48th Street. But it is decent food if you want Thai on 23rd Street.

Attention today we found out that Pongsri doesn't exist anymore on this address. The Thai restaurant is now called Thai Rice & Noodles. They serve also thai food, but really not so good as Pongsri

This was our second time to eat at this restaurant. It was as good as we remembered, The pad thai was an excellent choice and the best that I have ever had to eat. It is more creamy than most styles and is a delight to eat. All the dishes looked very good and the staff are very friendly. The... More

Every time I go to New York for sure I will stop more than ones in Ponsgri...For me the best dish is the DRUNKEN NOODLES , just delicious and also always ask for recommendations and so far always has been excellent.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere felt a bit dated. The food was good and there was plenty of it. Good flavors throughout the noodle dish and beef appetizer was tasty. For a late evening dinner it was a good place to go for something different.

Left my smartphone home....that wasn't so smart. Had soup, an appetizer and a house special main dish. Service was timely, portions were very generous, presentation was descent but the taste was anything but Thai. The crisp distinct flavors that Thai food is known for just wasn't there. Will not come back again.

Food was ok although I initially had to send back to kitchen as my curry liquid was luke warm - chicken and vegetables were hot but not the sauce. Service was fine. Value is dubious as it was not cheap and they kindly add on a 15% gratuity which I personally prefer to make my own decision about.

We've been there before, and were impressed... But...It was about 5 or 6 years ago. You enter the place now and it smells insecticide. You smell the food, and the Coconut Milk is not fresh (to say the least... aaargh...) We definitely won't take the risk again. Sadly, it's no longer the same. Too many choices in NY makes this... Walked by this place many times and never bothered to go in. What a mistake. Wonderful food and service as well. Definetly will go back again.

Charge high gratuity, with below mediocre service and rude staff. As we genuinely had no small bills to offer we left the change from the remainder of our bill to be harassed by a staff member to pay more. Extremely patronising and rude, have never experienced anything like it before and travel to the states frequently. Will never dine here... More
