I've only had hot or iced coffee but it is some of the best you will find. Get a free cup when you buy a bag of beans (which you should). Love love love love love. Coffee paradise.

Title says it all, do not give this place business . Been a bunch of times to give the staff benefit of the doubt since the coffee is decent and they have been unbelievably rude.

Love this place! Look no further as they know how to operate these mazzers. The ice coffee is also to die for.

Being Australian and spending a large amount of time in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland I am blessed with so much great coffee. After a week in the US I was so happy to find the best coffee I have had in the US, thanks Ninth Street Espresso. Antipodean coffee-files an oasis in Chelsea.

Coming from a city where coffee shapes out daily routine (Melbourne), I had high hopes of this place, and my word was the coffee sexual. The latte had such wonderful flavours and the milk was steamed to perfection. So smooth and ever so creamy. The location is in the heart of the East village, and we made it our local... More

Tried the Americano with steamed soy milk. Love the urban minimalism decor. It's a bar in the middle of Chelsea Market. Simple and bold. My coffee was on the weak side but I'll give a second chance.

How to imagine an expresso inside a former factory? With a large choice of seeds, we feel the origin of coffee. Quick and smart service.

This is hands down my favorite coffee place in NYC. Any time I visit here, I make sure to go to Ninth Street Espresso. It's a coffee purists dream. No silly fluff on the menu. Just proper coffee drinks. I have traveled all over Europe multiple times, and the coffee here compares to anywhere in Italy. The espresso is always... More

There's not a lot of options when it comes to coffee and there's a good reason for that. They know coffee and the one I got, is still the gold standard for all future cups of coffee. Try it!

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
