No matter what time of day you stop by at Eastside Cafe, there's always going to be a crowd getting their fix! This is another restaurant that no matter what you order, your taste buds will thank you (even if you're a picky eater!) When I am in the area I stop by and try different dishes from the menu.... This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. You will be greeted when you walk in with "Good Morning, seat yourself". Breakast is served all day and of course breakfast is served with complimentary chips with green salsa. Also, the coffee cup gets refilled.promptly. While I did not notice chicken fried steak for breakfast, there were plenty of machaca,... More

Was not really impressed with the special of the day. Served carnitas with cauldo (soup). The price was good $17 for 2. The establishment appears to have a regular customer base.

The (motor) vehicle parking was a small off-street lot, and I was initially fearful that I had intruded upon another businesses grounds. However, the inside turned out to be rather large--I and my colleagues sat at a large table from which I could see my pickup, so no (more) worries about that. Server Miguel quickly delivered drinks of ice water... More

Friendly service from servers that have been here for over 10 years and they keep the coffee coming. Sit where you want..... Here you don't have to choose. The pancake special includes everything for about 6 bucks.

Quaint atmosphere, good service, and really excellent Mexican food. I had the tortilla soup, which is to die for, and chicken flautas, which were delicious. I went with a friend, and the lunch for the two of us was less than $15

El Paso is home to hundreds of Mexican food places so it really takes details to seperate good from bad. Cafe' East (formally Eastside Cafe') still has the home style feel that let's you enjoy your meal without feeling rushed out the door. Two of our favorites are the chicken tortila soup and the flautas. The staff is friendly and... More

My co-hort ate here on a business trip from the East coast and raved about the chicken tortilla soup. Then I came to El Paso but didn't know the name of the place where she'd eaten that ravenously delicious soup. When I finally found the name I phoned. Closing hour was 10 min. ahead and my hotel was 20 min.... More

Eastside Cafe is a hole in the wall Mexican Restaurant with many loyal customers. This place gets very busy at lunch so best to come early. However, even if you have to wait, the service is so fast and efficient that you won't have to wait long. Eastside cafe is open for breakfast and lunch and offer daily specials. The... More
