Thus was suggested to me by a foodie friend who still comes to El Paso regularly. The selection of food and beverages is very good. Our server, Alma was very helpful to explain some of the seasoning and the menu. I had the Chihuahua combination....It has plenty of food. The spanish rice is actually a cilantro rice (similar to Chipotle restaurants) , very good. The beans were outstanding in texture and flavor. I ordered the medium size Strawberry margarita and my husband had the Texas size. Outstanding overall for food, atmosphere and service.More

We was near our hotel. Margaritas were huge and looked good (we didn't have any). Food was disappointing. Chili rellenos were barely warm enough and fish tacos were maybe a 3 on a scale of 1-5. There are much better places in EP.

Packed place which tells you food and service are good. Attentive waiters besides being so busy. Lots of choices on the menu offering genuine Mexican cuisine May be too much as it is difficult to choose

Family recently moved to El Paso and I came to help unpack. Wanted to take them all out to dinner. We all researched where to find good, traditional Mexican food and one member chose this restaurant. The place is large, it was very busy. Our...waiter was excellent. Precious reviews said ‘Best Margaritas in Town’. They were good yet not outstanding. Food was ok but about the same as I have had in other states and cities. Did not come away saying ‘Wow! That was excellent!’ Next visit, will try the others we reviewed.More

Great service, house margarita was awesome, food was very filling - ordered beef quesadilla and Rosa’s flautas. The place was packed before 6pm on a Sunday!

When in town this the only Mexican restaurant I’ll eat at! Food is great. Service is great. Atmosphere is great. Menu is very extensive. Full bar. Plenty of parking. Live music some nights. You can’t beat Carlos and Mickeys!

We saw so many good reviews on TA, but we were not impressed with the food; it is just OK. I had the carnitas, which has been well reviewed here, but I have to say, if these are ‘the best in town,’ go out of...town for carnitas. I love them and try them whenever I see them on the menu, and this take isn’t great: dry and flavorless pork. The rice that came with it was equally bland and greatly unremarkable. The cowboy beans were pretty good. Skip this dish! My wife had the crab rellenos, which were an improvement over what I ordered but nothing special, and again served with bland refried beans and the same bland white-ish rice I had with the carnitas. Horchata was good. The chips and salsa were delicious! I had high hopes based on these items, but dinner was pretty forgettable. The service was outstanding! Arlette was very attentive and the kitchen is fast. What comes out is average.More

Terrible, I got drink right away , ordered fajitas, food came out good, then I had to sit for 10-15 minutes before I got tortillas, silverware , salsa and a refill on my drink, so my food is cold, waitress looked in on me once...and I just told her to cash me out, won’t be backMore

Food was great and service was excellent. We were looking for Mexican cuisine on our recent visit to El Paso and this place did not disappoint. You can always tell if a restaurant is good when the locals recommend it.

The pictures look good but the food is just alright. However, the restaurant is very pretty with booths and it is a nice place to relax and have a meal and conversation.

Went on Cinco de Mayo after we drove in from NM. Margaritas were large and in charge. The atmosphere was purely authentic Mexican, and the place was packed. The food was delicious however my taco meat was bland. All prices were very cheap. I had...an appetizer, entree and two margaritas and the total was under $25. If ever in El Paso, give this place a try. The mariachi band was a nice touch as well. Thanks for a good time and good food.More

We kept our food simple as we had a drive ahead of us. I enjoyed the crisp, freshly made tostada chips and salsa. The salsa was not too chunky and not to liquidy, spot on flavor. I ordered the tortilla soup with chicken and quesadillas....She ordered albóndigas with quesadillas. I though the albóndigas had a good ratio of meat and vegetables, however the broth was a little bland. The tortilla soup on the other hand was rich and flavorful. I have never had a soup like it. The tomato base or whatever they tossed in added an amazing element that kept me wanting more. The quesadillas used store bought tortilllas which was disappointing. I figured since they made their own chips we would get fresh tortillas too. Anyhow, service was great.More

I went on the suggestion of a local while visiting here. It's very busy but I figured it must be good if no one batted an eye at being told the wait was 60-90 minutes. Being a party of 1 worked to my advantage- I...was seated in 35 minutes. The service was very good, and the food did not disappoint. I got the shredded beef chimichanga and it was huge. They do not skimp on portions. The margarita was excellent. The salsa was a bit too spicy for me- definitely a burn on the back end, but you kind of wanted to keep going back in- just had my drink handy. Overall a great experience.More
