Small array of selections (take-out only, I think), but the two varieties we sampled -- chicken, and pork -- were both generously filled (much more filling than masa) and tasty. Definitely worth a repeat visit, because the offerings vary, day to day. We'll be back.

I was there at 6:30am and by 6:50 am they opened the doors and 4 more people were waiting like me quick service, and great vale. I had very high expectations because of... More

Went there today for the first time. Got a dozen and a half tamales for my coworkers. Red, green, and cheese is what i ordered. They weren't bad at all. I like them as well as my coworkers. We all agreed there are better but these wern't bad. They weren't overtly spicy but had the right amount of kick to... More

My wife introduced me to to Pepe's 15 years ago. Since then I've made several 200 mile detours to get a few dozen to bring home and freeze

I hope to visit El Paso again soon so I can buy more. I tried both Red and Green and was wholly satisfied with both, with a slight preference for the green.

I have been visiting Pepe's Tamales for over 30 years. In all that time, I have never recieved bad tamales or menudo and don't understand some other reviewers comments. Sometimes the tamales are better than others for my taste but overall, excellent! The masa is always good and not too dry like some tamales can be. The red chile pork... More

Green chile w/ cheese are pretty good, but red pork tamales are not that good. El sabor de la masa era un poco amarga (sour); tasted as if they had put lemon in it. They're a little expensive. Plus, they only take cash. It was ok for one time, not buying there anym more. :/
