Elmers Diner is a trip back in time. The atmosphere is nostalgic. It's one of the very few authentic diner places left in El Paso. The food is fresh and tastes homemade. I was very happy with the fried chicken it was crispy and actually had a very good taste ! The chicken soup was just like my mom makes.... More

I was hungry for some home style cooking, so I stopped in at Elmer's. After looking over the menu, I decided on the Mexican Combo Plate. It was delicious. Spicy salsa, well cooked enchiladas and chile, served nice and hot. Definitely will return.

If your looking for a good salad bar, then this is the place. However, you have to dig to the bottom of the egg halfs to find one that's not dried out. I had the 3 beef enchiladas w/Rice and beans. The rice was terrible but the enchiladas were tasty. The place is old and needs updating. I would probably... More

We have never visited or worked in El Paso without at least one meal at Elmer's -- more often when breakfast is not available at our hotel. It may not be the best meal you'll get in this city of many good Mexican and other family resturants, but you'll rarely leave Elmer's unhappy. Never, if you like, with a bad... More

Dirty, run down, a menu from 70's with a staff to match. My wife ordered a Rueben that consisted of wheat toast with American cheese, corned beef, and thousand island dressing that was horrid. My wife took one bite only and I tried a bite, that's it and we were told we would have to pay for it. Nope, it... More

We had breakfast here on 6JAN, I ordered eggs benedict which is my fav. Well, it came and the sauce on it was mayo, yes just plain mayo sprinkled with bacon!!! The worst food I have ever had!! I wouldn't bother going here! My opinion

We saw a commercial on TV and drove a bit to get here. It was a great decision as the food and service were spectacular. We thought about trying the breakfast buffet but the server suggested we not because it was almost over. So we both had fried chicken and it was perfect...crispy on the outside and moist and juicy... We stopped here for breakfast, and even though the outside was not "modern", this place will really surprise you upon entering the front door. The service was very prompt, the food hot and tasty, just a great find during our travels. Oh, and the French Toast was like something from the carnival. Again, another place where the outside may deter... More

Been here many times. You can order off the menu or partake in the buffet at lunch/dinner. The food is pretty good. Lots of seating. The staff is good and have been here for awhile. Easy access off Montana or Airport. Good food.

We had both breakfast & lunch here...would recommend to anyone. The portions were generous & tasty. The staff was always close by to refresh drinks. The interior decor was interesting & the music was enjoyable...60's music, I think. Wouldn't mind going back again.
