I had the Shrimp po boy and it was to die for. The chipotle aioli was great, the french fries hot. My wife had the biscuits and gravy and they were excellent. We also had beignets and they were small and very fresh and hot - awesome. Our server was Maricela M and she was terrific. Chairs were uncomfortable -... More

While on a little trip to Ventura, we found this place while out for an evening walk and decided to give it a try after the first cafe we tried was disappointing. Cajun Kitchen is so good, excellent friendly service, delicious food...what more could you ask for. It's the best breakfast place we've been to in a long time. If... More

Local friends had recommended this place, but it was unremarkable standard breakfast fare. The hash browns were the type reconstituted from dehydrated potatoes and the taste of grill oil was prominent. Service and kitchen slow although there was only one other table occupied at the time.

My husband and I had an early lunch at this corner restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch throughout the day. You have access to the entire menu which is nice if you arrive for an early lunch. This is a noisy, bustling, vibrant restaurant with a creative menu. We were lucky to be seated in the back room which is a... More

Great for breakfast and always packed! We visited on a Sunday morning at 9. Only waited 10 minutes for a table. Very nice and polite wait staff. Menu is large. I had the California Benedict. Two English muffins each topped with avocado, tomato, poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. Very good and the Cajun spiced home fried potatoes were yummy! Bottom... More

We got there shortly before the kitchen closed the staff said we could order quickly and everything arrived promptly and tasty. The staff were attentive and didn't make us feel rushed at all. I will definitely go back and keeping in mind that the restaurant closes at 2:30 pm!

We stayed at the Ventura Marriott and ask the front desk for breakfast recommendation. Could not have been happier! Cute little hometown place with yummy food! Highly recommend :-)

We can in for eggs, and we ended up with Jambalaya! They custom made an egg dish for us too. Steaming hot food. Casual cafe environment.

I've been eating at this restaurant and their other locations for over 15 years, and I'll tell you why...the Steve's special (chili, cheese, sour cream on scrambled eggs and hashbrowns). That, and the awesome friendly staff always keeps the coffee flowing. Love this place!
