Cute little restaurant on Main Street in Ventura. We went for a fun lunch and the place was packed. We had the Sangria which was made with red wine. It wasn't too sweet which I prefer so I was happy! We had a sampler plate of cheeses and meats and sandwhiches. I had a cup of the cauliflower soup which... More

I always have a hard time making up my mind here. The winter salad with beets, yams, fennel, and blue cheese is excellent. Great wines. Wonderful vegan pate of mushrooms and figs...I've had their sandwiches, their mac and cheese, and love it all. I recommend late lunch time to get a more private table but the atmosphere and service are... More

Everything here was excellent: beer, wine, hors d'oeuvres, meals, desserts, atmosphere and service. They don't take reservations, so be prepared to wait on weekends -- especially with a group. Tables are small and packed close together, so it's not the best choice for a private, intimate experience.

Definitely worth the wait for this gourmet spot (30 min for take out on NYD). You can eat in or take out. The market side has tons of cheeses, & wines for those who want. My companions wanted a picnic to pair with their wine where we were going next so my companions ordered meat/cheese sampler, pate sampler, lobster mac... More

I can't say enough good things about PP. The service, location, food & drinks are perfect. When we visit we make it to PP several times. I wish there was a PP in Texas!

Located in old downtown Ventura, the Paradise Pantry has a very interesting menu of sandwiches and soups. There is always something interesting to try since the menu changes with the seasons.

If you are a macaroni and cheese lover, this is your place. This fish soup is french provincial, the sandwiches big and delicious, all the ingredients are highest quality, all the wines are specially selected. They have a wine and cheese section as part of the store.

Organic chicken breast on sour dough with lettuce, pickled onions, melted cheese and aioli sauce was definitely worth a return visit as was the fish soup. It was by far the best chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. It was so large I could not finish and had to take 1/2 home.
