This is a typical diner with typical diner fare. The 1950's decor might be a draw for some, but the food is pretty bad. The service is OK, but the prices are high for what it is. And because of the downtown location, the restroom requires a token.

Went here for early breakfast. Had French toast which was very good. Excellent coffee. Good value for money. Classic diner style interior. Situated in main part of town.

50's theme diner with honest to goodness food. Had the chicken and dumpling dinner which had double the portion described on the menu. Came with soup or salad and desert and a beverage for $15. I could not finish the entree and had to take the desert to go. Took a while waiting for food but that's because they prepare... More

Friendly welcoming 50's style Cafe in the middle of Ventura. Very reminiscent of a place you probably visited as a child. The staff is efficient and courteous. The food is served quickly and is adequate. Very tasty, large servings of home style dishes. Definitely not gourmet but enjoyable. My only concern was that it was not super clean, the tables... The wait staff goes out of its way to make sure you are satisfied. The 50's look and feel is pretty neat. I recommend this place to anyone who visits Ventura so you can get a good meal at a good price!

Good substantial breakfast, plus they serve cocktails at some time during the evening. Friendly staff & fairly clean place.

Good American fare. Authentic 50's nostalgia right down to the table jukeboxes and sweater poles on each booth. The omelet was amazingly good, but the pancakes could have tasted better even though they were cooked properly and were very fluffy. They were good, but not exceptional. It is good American diner style food and atmosphere. I would eat there again.

The place is beautiful and very 50's and the hamburguers were just amazing! My wife had the Classic American Cheesebuguer and I had the guacamone one. Both delicious!!

This is all you'd expect from a 1950s style diner. Lots of breakfast options. I opted for the healthy California Light Omelet: egg whites, spinach, zucchini, bell peppers and avocado. This included the not so healthy - but delicious - Busy Bee potatoes and a side order of toast. Service was OK - from a crusty server who's probably worked... More

This is a 50's style diner that is just awesome! We swung by there at about 11 am for a traditional, basic, all-American breakfast. It did not disappoint! I had the 3-egg breakfast with hash browns and crispy bacon! There are other options, of course, including pancakes, etc. This is a diner with outstanding service, located smack-dab in the middle...
