Food was good. The service was lacking. It seemed as if there were regular's and if you aren't a regular you get bare minimum on service.

Close your eyes. Imagine it's 1937, just before the war breaks out. It's a man's world, covered in dark panelling, a gin and tonic, meat and potatoes world. Open your eyes. You're at the Pine Club. Here's why this place is so hard to review,...More

If you go prepared, knowing what to expect, you'll have a great experience here. "What to expect" includes long waits for a table because they don't take reservations, dim lighting, no credit cards, and a fairly noisy atmosphere (though thankfully only one small TV screen...More

Dated and over priced for the modern world. Anyone that ranks this as a top ranked spot of any kind needs to explorer the world of food more. Sides are lack luster and bland, the stewed tomatoes taste like Campbell's soup with chunks. The steak...More

A wonderful place to eat and enjoy the days gone by. Reminds me of a movie scene from the 50's. Sinatra and Dean Martin enjoying a cigarette and martini. BTW best steaks around.

The food is great, service good and the ambience is old fashioned, lots of wood steakhouse look that is quite dark inside. The Paragon has the same food with good or better service and a similar, but slightly less dark restaurant. I prefer it.

Pine Club is a Dayton highlight - everyone says you need to go to the Pine Club - and there are expectations you get from hearing everyone's input on the Pine Club. For example, the length of the wait to get a table, pay in...More

We have eaten at the Pine Club previously, although it has been as long as five years ago. We decided to try a business dinner with another couple on a week night. The Pine Club does not take reservations, and it was packed. We waited...More

I will never go back to the Pine Club. The last visit was a bad meal. My wife's filet was overcooked. My NY strip was fat and with a lot of gristle. The waitress didn't even acknowledge that I had complained. With those prices it...More

While you don't need to wear coat and tie... is on their website. Business casual is more appropriate.

My wife is gluten intolerant (not celiac) and LOVES the Pine Club. She always gets the Filet Mignon. She does get depressed because she can no longer being able to eat the bread or the onion rings.

Don't need their proprietary card to dine there, but need check or cash as they take no credit cards.
