We ate here because it was close to our hotel and had a pet friendly patio. I wish we'd walked to the next restaurant down the street! We were told that they were busy and it would be a few minutes- no problem. They only had 1 waiter for the entire patio and the service was terribly slow, which I... More

We chose this place because it had a patio and is dog friendly. The food is delicious. I had a pulled pork and grilled cheese sandwich. The pulled pork was tender and they did not put too much bbq sauce on it. Instead they put a little bit of ranch dressing, which made it just right. Yummy French fries. My... More

We went to C J's at the recommendation of the manager where we stayed. We tried to go there for lunch but got there just as they were closing at 2:00. I'm so glad we went back that evening. My husband had the New York Strip Steak and he said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had...so... More

Nice atmosphere and staff. Slow service (only one waitress for half a dozen parties) but worth the wait. Dishes are prepared well with quality ingredients. A little pricey - $99 for the three of us. We were happy to dine here, and would come again.

We really enjoyed the food (warning - only wine & beer). I had the tarragon crab cake salad and it was delicious (they homemake all their salad dressings). We also had a burger, fries, & Mac & cheese with buffalo chicken. It was all good. I had a glass of red sangria & it was yummy. Service was very friendly... More

We were here during the Presidents Day Weekend so were happy when we were able to get a last minute reservation. However, they really shouldn't accept reservations if they're not prepared to handle a good size crowd. We waited in the reception area for 10 or 15 minutes before we saw anyone who worked there. Once we were seated, the... More

We like to support CJs whenever we go skiing at Mammoth, because Carrie & Jason are a young couple with kids and we like to help their business. They are no longer in Mammoth and we understand their parents are running the place. It seems our server Michelle is somehow related. We asked Michelle what dressings are available and she... More

We have loved CJ's since it opened. We go to Mammoth to ski each year and have always enjoyed a lovely dinner here. Not so on our first ski trip of this season. My husband and our friend had the Artichoke & Capers dish (a favorite from the past). The chicken was dry and the flavors were not as good... More

We made reservations, since Saturday nights in Mammoth can get a little crowded. Great to have the Open Table option. Everyone loved their food: pretzel bites, steak, crab cakes, chicken pot pie, cream of zucchini soup, and eggnog cheesecake. The decor feels like a cozy mountain lodge and the service was good for a busy night. We will definitely eat... More
