I really enjoy the food and vibe at Amis. I've never been disappointed. While initially, I would over eat... with my more frequent meals, I've decided it's best to sample the food, (usually the nightly specials are so good, I order all three options) and...More

This is the second time at Amis. The first time was fine and would have given a rating of 4. This time I would have given a rating of 4 as well but our waiter was terrible. He was never to be seen and it...More

Wonderful Italian restaurant w/ imaginative dishes. Especially liked the Branzino with avocado, surprisingly good combo. Sweetbread scrumptious. Homemade pasta special superb. Chic atmosphere, though noisy when full. Wonderful service, good wine selection. Would return

The family & I visited on Sunday 09/10/17. Our server, Javas G, took splendid care of us. He was quick with refills & made great menu recommendations. The complementary olive oil bread was moist and decadent.  We were sat in a half booth that resembled...More

I met a friend here for dinner and neither of us were blown away. Food was good. We shared a bottle of wine, an appetizer each, and then a pasta dish each. While it was decent Italian food, it was not of the caliber I...More

Excellent food, wine and service. The staff were knowledgeable about the wines offered and the food was delicious! There were 4 of us and we started with the chickpea salad, the fried cauliflower, the meatballs and fresh bufala with peaches - all were great, but...More

Description
Amis brings the quintessential Roman-style trattoria to Philadelphia’s Center City neighborhood. Opened in 2010 by Vetri Family partners Jeff Benjamin and Chefs Marc Vetri, Brad Spence and Jeff Michaud, Amis has cemented its place as one of the city’s premier dining destinations, garnering high praise from such publications as the Philadelphia Inquirer (three-out-of-four-bells) and Bon Appetit magazine (“Top 10 Places for Pasta in the U.S.”), and from the crowds of regular guests who pack its dining room nightly for dinner and weekends for brunch. Lively, comfortable and convivial, dining at Amis is perfect for a variety of occasions, boasting a share-plates menu of house-made pasta, salumi, farm-fresh meats and peak seasonal vegetable dishes, perfect for sharing while celebrating with friends and family, or a meal out with someone special. Be sure to ask about our “Beast of Amis” menu too. These special dishes feature whole animals—birds, hogs, fish and even full sides of beef.
