Yummy quick food for lunch. Nice friendly staff. Prices are a little high but the food is good quality.

In an attempt to be vegetarian for a week, I was faced with going out to eat on day 1. After a quick google search I came across Mama Vegetarian. You order at a counter, pick up your food and go to a table (of...More
When you travel places you want to go where the locals go and this is a perfect place in Philadelphia for local food. It’s not a corporate chain, it doesn’t waste money on marketing or other non-essentials. It makes good, homemade Israeli /Mediterranean food. The...More
It'd been too. Long since I went to Mama's. The falafel is good, the pita is fresh, and the hot sauce is HOT! Plus, it's 100% kosher.
Visiting Philly, looking for a place for a vegetarian/vegan lunch. Found Mama's Vegetarian and was not disappointed. The staff was friendly and the food was very good. I got the small falafel sandwich and the size was perfect. We were lucky to find a seat...More

They are cash only. The food is good, but not authentic. For $8 you can get a good pita full of reasonable food. Average at best. I thought the long line was for something better than what is delivered.
The menu is simple and the food was fresh. A lot of food for a good value. We ordered the Samantha’s Platter to share with an extra pita, it was perfect.

Glad there's a place to grab a tasty kosher meal local to where we were staying. It's not fancy, food is served on plastic plates but everything was fresh and tasty. Limited seating and it does get crowded. Would go back.
