Planned a bachelorette dinner here for 10 people, and everything was excellent! It was hard to find a restaurant that didn't insist on a prix-fixe menu, but we had so many different tastes it was a must. Tequilas let us do our own thing. Food and drinks were great. The crab and mango guacamole was amazing. Had a cool old... More

After walking 7+ miles across Philly from the University area over bridge along the Schukyll to the Delaware and back, we devoured the complimentary hand-made tortillas with sauce at Tequilas to start us off. Our waiter knew the menu like the back of his hand and sold us on the mouth-watering specials and delicacies including a pork tenderloin dish and... More

On a Saturday night, without a reservation, so we dined at the bar. The place was jam packed, but service was nonetheless friendly, efficient and fast. My husband has the molcajete with chicken, served in a steaming lava stone bowl with sides of rice, beans, guacamole and tortillas, and he loved it. I had the chiles rellenos. I'm vegetarian, so... The restaurant itself is not your average looking Mexican restaurant nor is the food. The restaurant is housed in an old Mansion. The bar has the original old marble fire place and is elegantly appointed.Oh did I mention you enter passing a Day of the Dead Mural which is a political commentary.I like to eat in the bard. On weekends the... More

We drive nearly 3 hours to visit Tequilas. We do this about 6 times annually and always for my wife's birthday. From the owner who is passionate about tequila and mezcal and of course his menu to the exceptional bartenders and the great wait staff you can't miss. This isn't Tex-Mex is Mexican so enjoy.....Silvio is our go to waiter... More

The service was excellent. Appetizers where empanadas and crabmeat guacamole. Both excellent, the guacamole was the best I've ever had. Drinks were good and strong. My main course was great. My wife was not as happy. I think she just doesn't like Mole. She liked mine. Dessert was great tres leches maybe the best I've had. My wife got the... More

This is good Mexican. Enjoyed the sautéed scallops and shrimp over bacon mashed potatoes. Yes you read that right. My companion enjoyed the chili relleno and couldn't decide which one he liked better - the savory with cheese or the sweet with raisins. We started with the guacamole and flights of the house tequila and mezcal. The meal ended with... More

One of our favorite Mexican Restaurants! Dinners are always delicious, must try the langostines. Garlicky deliciousness! Very authentic, gourmet Mexican food. Happy Hour is always fun! Great margaritas and beers! Short Rib margarita, a spicy, jalapeño infused tequila with pomegranate syrup! Delicious! The salsas are fresh, homemade with mild spice. Tortilla chips are fresh made. Great service at the bar... More

I have visited this restaurant many times since they opened and never found myself disappointed. It has maintained the same standard of quality and attention to detail. Anytime you can deliver perfect Huevos Rancheros and a creamy Bean Mousse for Brunch is a special meal to savor with family and friends. It is one of the understated restaurants that has... More

You definitely should make reservations. Many people eat here as the restaurant was packed to capacity. However, this made for a very loud atmosphere. Nonetheless, the wait staff and service was exemplary. You should also ensure your cellphone is fully charged as you will need the flashlight app to read the menus depending on where you are seated. Every entree... More
