We came here for the beer and unfortunately they don't allow you to sit at a table unless you're ordering food. Seems strange given the price of some of the beers and the fact that our bill would probably have equaled the cost of a...More

Made a special trek to Monk's to land a whale-Pliney the Elder. really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Very old school looking wooden bar - wooden everything! You may consider it a 'dive bar' from the atmosphere but the food was top notch -...More

Charming restaurant with an amazing selection of beers. The beer menu ("Beer Bible") on every table makes for enjoyable and informative reading. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the beer and the food were both excellent. Great value for money.

This place looks like a dive. It's not, world class beer selection and the food and service is excellent. And not at all pretentious.

Classic specialty beer tavern with surprisingly good food. And if you are luck, there is Pliny the Elder on tap. Apparently they have the best connection on the East Coast for this world famous, West Coast IPA. The service is excellent and knowledgeable, especially about...More

They do host events, according to the material I read, but that may be there own events. Why not call the restaurant and ask? If you are on the area, I like Jay R's suggestion to go look for yourself and have something to... More
