There are so many options for toppings that it takes a while to sort through it all. We decided on a Pizza de mare, covered in sea food. The crust was perfect and the toppings delicious. A little skimpy on the toppings, I thought at first, but I am reminded that is a more genuine Italian style. Quite good!

Not the cheapest but very tasty. Our young waiter was very good too. Pleasant, helpful, informative.

Coincidently, Mama Palma received full page article in the Food section of the Inquirer, the day we enjoyed stone fired pizza. As a pizzaholic, I fully endorse the menu and innovative pizza. Of equal import is the gracious, attentive and professional service as well as the owners presence . Little kids, parents and grandparents were impressed by our royal treatment.... More

We had spent the day setting our eldest up in their apartment and were planning on cooking dinner ourselves, then we decided on Mama Palma's and we are glad we did. First impressions count and this place is warm an inviting, the staff are all friendly and courteous too. We had a spread of meals, pastas, pizzas and one of... More

We have been to Mama Palma's about five times in the last month-plus. We have had fairly simple pizzas, all very good. You can get a beer to go with your pizza your bring your own wine. There is a good selection of beers to choose from. While it is in the pricier side for pizza, we don't mind because... More

When I was in Philadelphia visiting family, we stopped to pick up pizzas and a salad. The ingredients that we had on the pizza and in the salad were much different than what I normally get at home. Definitely gourmet pizza is an appropriate description of what you get!

The Warm Polenta Bread Plate is a great tasting way to start/continue a meal at Mama Palma's. The gluten-free pizza crust costs a bit more, but it is WELL worth it! The 8 inch version with sausage, mushrooms and broccoli was delicious. The servers were friendly, the atmosphere was cosy. Next time we visit my brother, we'll head for Mama... More

Mama Palma's is right around the corner from my sister's apartment and we decided to go after hearing good things. The pizza was out of this world and the service was even better! When the owner found out my grandmother is named Palma they brought out some polenta bread on the house and it Das delicious. For pizzas we got... More

We had three different pizzas all of which were really good and the salads that came with it were fantastic. A great neighborhood vibe and really friendly staff!

This was our go-to pizza place when we lived in Philadelphia. Since we moved, we've both become vegans, and one has become gluten-free, so we weren't sure we'd be able to return to Mama Palma's when we visited Philly this time. We shouldn't have worried--Mama Palma has updated its menu and now offers a THIN gluten-free crust, non-dairy cheese, and... More
