Really enjoyed this family style fusion spot with cheesesteak eggrolls a must. Funky atmosphere, and a little loud on the music for our big group, even during happy hour, but service was excellent and waitress handled our large group with poise. Drinks were also excellent. I understand reservations are important at popular times.

I took my children to brunch because my daughter works in the restaurant business and she had heard only great things about this restaurant. The service was slow at best. The coffee was great although very stingy with the cream. Had to have it filled twice. My pet peeve is when the food comes out piecemeal. This happened . My... More

Stopped in for early evening drinks with a friend, but this is one place you can NEVER judge a book by its cover. On the outside, classic American diner look, on the inside...pretty much the same, but the food and drinks! Wow! Hand made ginger syrup for craft cocktails, appetizers that look like they belong in a French restaurant and... More

We ordered lobster max and cheese, limp crab meat pad thai, shoestring potatoes and seared tuna over mushroom risotto. Absolutely wonderful meal. Great service. The risotto was particularly delicious.

A friend of mine always wanted to go here when she came to visit me in Philly. I would indulge her, but I never really enjoyed the experience. I have eaten here a few times, and it's safe to say, there are better places to dine in Philly. Everything is overpriced and the quality was more reminiscent of a chain... More

We stopped in for drinks at this well known spot that serves plenty of delicious looking food and excellently prepared drinks in a diner-like setting. Plenty of locals and tourists alike enjoy the simplistic feeling of this restaurant/bar and by the looks of it on a Wednesday night, it stays busy most of the time.

My wife and I were in town for business and a colleague recommended we try The Continental. We walked from our hotel at Penn's Landing and were dubious when we approached. Inside the decor was very retro and welcoming. The server seated us immediately and we struggled to decide on a menu choice because it all sounded delicious. In the... More

The atmosphere was contemporary but warm. Drinks were spot on in portion and taste, from the hostess to manager everyone was friendly and professional. The menu has many choices, loved the brussel spouts and desserts! Will visit again if I am back in Philly....

We were a large family group and Continental's expansive menu seemed like just the thing. It was and our orders ranged from spinach ravioli (yum!, mine) to grilled cheese (an off the menu request by our 8 year old granddaughter) to grilled salmon (a paltry-sized portion!) to fish (served lukewarm, rather than hot).......Also worth mentioning is that the chairs were... The menu is quite fun and covers just about all continents . At my table we had Asian , European and American and just about everything was good. Atmosphere and service are just as good .
