Located Washington Square, below street level, elevator is available. We enjoyed the Old school Italian grotto décor. We both had a Red snapper, crab meat, shrimp special, broccoli and one little potato croquette, skimpy on the shrimp and crab meat, side of pasta with nice red sauce. Red snapper was a little too well done . Came very early, great... More

We go here 2-3 times a year for pre-Walnut Street Theatre dinner. I love the Zuppa and we've had the orlando chop and the veal chop. The fish choices usually include Dover Sole which was very tasty. This week the service was quite prompt but we suggest being cautious on timing for theatre as we've had several slightly tardy service... More

There were 7 adults in our party and we all really enjoyed our meal. We were going to the Walnut Street theatre and the location was perfect. We had a variety of foods and all were great from the drinks, bread and entree

My husband loves the branzino. You can order 1lb or 1.5 lbs. They de-bone the fish right in front of you!

Whenever we see shows at the nearby Walnut Street Theater, we have pre-show dinner at La Buca. This Italian restaurant is solid and never fails to please. Tonight included a lovely shared order of Calamari Friti, Seafood Livornesi with linguini for my hubby, and Dover Sole served with broccoli and a potato patty for me. The food was well-prepared and... More

We had Veal Marsala and Veal Piccata with sliced creamy potatoes and broccoli for lunch today. Impeccable service, a great glass of Chardonnay and a robust Gimlet.

This was my first visit to La Buca, with some good friends who have been here many times. It was all they said it would be ,and more. The cocktails were perfectly mixed. The bartender was both efficient, and most entertaining. They bring to your table a food cart with a bountiful display of the seafood, and meats that are... More

This place is apparently frozen in time; everything's screaming '70 which, by itself, it's not bad, but it gives a weird sad vibe to the whole experience. A good thing is that both rooms (the main, behind the bar, and the one on the side) are pretty quiet, so conversation is possible at normal voice level. Service was pretty good,... More

We had a wonderful dinner in this basement restaurant right off Washington Square. The food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. The decor is dated, but that gives it a warm, cozy feeling. I don't think I would travel far to dine here on a special date, but it is a great place for friends and family to meet.... More
