My husband and I are both lovers of chocolate and ice cream, so Scoop de Ville is a must when we are in the city! They have a retro feel to their establishment. The list of flavors is long, so choose wisely.

Nice ice cream shop in downtown area. Scoop de Ville has a sign on the wall -- "Life is Short....Eat Dessert First" -- which sums up my philosophy Lots of different flavors available. Had the Country Breakfast -- butter pecan ice cream blended with maple syrup, bacon bits, and graham cracker cereal. It was very good. Decent sized portions and... More

Love the blending of graham crackers and vanilla ice cream. Scoop de Ville blends a variety of ingredients with a variety of ice creams in a very special way that cannot be duplicated.

The ice cream and concoctions are nothing at all to write home about. What really surprised me was the service. There were four people working with two customers (us) and the ice cream took about 10 minutes to served...I've no idea how this place stays in business.

better even than the ice cream i had In France. Amazing. I can eat tubs of this ice cream because their vanilla isn't egg yolky. The service SUCKS tho. I don't know who these people think they are, they need to get a grip on themselves. i haven't been back because of that.

The first thing for which I have to give this place props is the fact that they provide a place in downtown Philly to get Ice Cream in the evening (closing time 9 PM at the time of this writing). There are a couple of other places as well but it was nice to go for dinner and then have... More

We needed some ice cream and got some. Also had a mango sorbet. There were four of us. I had the milk shake but I should have asked for more chocolate. I had chocolate and coffee ice cream but needed more flavor. It was still good but too milky not mocha enough. The staff was very friendly and even gave... More

Read a lot of reviews about this place before going, which were mixed. We went for the nostalgic experience, and it was good for that. But the ice cream was just average compared to many other ice cream shops, and it was a little pricey.

I'm writing to bring awareness to an issue that I had at this location. I needed to get either a cake and/or cupcakes for a birthday dinner for a friend of mine. It was after 7pm, so I knew it would not be the easiest to do, but never did I imagine it being so hard either! I called Scoop... More
