Friendly neighborhood place, great cheeseteaks, nothing special but homey, we stayed in the hotel there so it was super convenient and inexpensive.

Got a drink at the bar and then went outside to sit and watch the visitors enjoy Old City. From the outside, this place looks grim, but that is deceiving. Felt so comfortable there.

Monkey Bar is great for meeting for drinks and bar food but don't expect fine dining. I love the bartenders, they must hire them for their personalities because everyone I've met has been really personable and attentive. Not a date place but a great place...More

As stated previously the restrooms should be condemned by the board of health. (cooks use these when preparing your food, or at least OSHA) Have a beer and get out of Dodge. Go to 'Rotten Ralphs' one block further south.
