I live within closing distance from China Gourmet . I have tasted dimsum from various restaurants in NJ and NY area. There siomai and most other dimsum items are one of the best. This can get crowded during the weekends especially in the summer. Dimsum is available on the weekend between 11 am to 3pm. Weekday menu offers few selected... More

I have been going to this restaurant for many years, and it's had its ups and downs. Right now, it has a terrific Cantonese chef. We had mustard greens and Hunan chicken, which were both excellent. Thr dishes come to the table straight from the wok, the ingredients are fresh and prices are reasonable. Don't be discouraged if the restaurant... More

Saturday and Sunday dim sum. Very reasonable prices with also a regular Chinese menu. The dim sum is what you should try to appreciate the finner foods.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and it was fabulous. The soups and spicy dumplings were tasty and perfect staters. The Dragon and Phoenix dish was outstanding as was the Mooshi Pork - a delight with an amazing taste. The homemade plum saw superb with the pancakes. The hot tea was one of the best we've tasted. Thanks,... More

This place is close to us, so we come here for our dim sum fix. It's unusual- some days the dim sum is really fresh, comes out hot and is excellent. Some days, it's very recycled, and just ok. But prices are reasonable, the assortment the norm, and it get's our dim sum fix over with. Management isn't so friendly... More

I have been eating here for years. Still very, very good to excellent. Great service, fair prices. An old fashioned, stalwart Chinese restaurant. It's as good as anything I get in the City. I think some of the bad reviews here are skewed and unfair.

As people have said here before, they are the only restaurant in the area that serves dim sum...so we come here every one in a while....and we always leave disappointed. Because it isn't so busy, a lot of dishes recirculate through the dining rooms and just aren't served hot. The dim sum aren't spectacular, and the servers mostly seem they... More

We went for dim sum and were surprised at the lack of variety. The food was cold, deep fried with a strange aftertaste. The waiters did not speak English and did not understand our requests. The worst dim sum in the tri state area.

Only place I could find that offered Dim Sum on a Saturday at lunch. Limited offerings and many dishes circulated many times before being sold and were COLD. Food was good but nothing I tried was excellent. An oasis for someone longing for Dim Sum however.
