Visited as part of a tour. The shepherd's pie was the best we ever had. Tried their hard cider aged in bourbon barrels. It was excellent. Wish we could have purchased a bottle to take home. Great place. Great owners.

My family and I really enjoyed our dinner here. Bartenders and waiter Keyvan were very nice. Burgers were good but Shepard pie was excellent. Atmosphere was very cool!

We chose this in search of anything not American bar food and we were not disappointed! All our dishes were excellent but the shepherd's pie was to die for. Our server Keevin was superb and the ambiance was also very pleasing. Would definitely return here.

A must do. Tried Scotch Eggs - excellent! Then had bangers and mash and shepherds pie - both were great. Excellent craft beer.

Three of us stopped in for dinner on a Monday evening around 5:30. There was no waiting, although most tables were full downstairs. The pub has the atmosphere of an authentic Irish Pub. I understand that the owners themselves are Irish, so they should know...More

You should contact the restaurant directly and not thru TripAdvisor. I doubt the owners check TripAdvisor every day.

Description
Gettysburg's only Irish-owned and operated pub offers a genuine taste of Ireland through "Ceol, cainte agus craic" Music, talk & fun. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner, The Garryowen, or "The GO" as it's know to our regulars, is as inviting as any pub found back in the old country with friendly service, a large selection of Irish whiskies, the best of Ireland's draft beers, and the perfect pour of Guinness which is complimented with a carefully picked selection of international and domestic premium beers, wines and spirits. Our kitchen prepares the most authentic Irish fare in the area from the owners' family recipes, with many ingredients imported directly from Ireland. Paired with traditional pub fare, made in house daily from scratch with local ingredients where possible. Our menu is sure to satisfy the most discerning of tastes. Enjoy your meal in our cozy dining room, by the fireplace or at the bar.The first and third Sundays of each month are a special treat for lovers of Irish music, with a traditional 'Seisun' from 2 til 5pm. Reservations are highly recommended.
