Service in Gettysburg can be ...weak. But Sidney (though pricey) has excellent service. Pleasant, attentive, knowledgeable. We had forgotten how much more pleasant dining can be with good service. The food and drinks were excellent and we enjoyed the cozy environment.

I made a reservation for dinner. It was our fourth anniversary; Chef Annis crafted a superb meal for us. If you're looking for a cheap sub-par meal, dont go to Sidney. But if you are looking for a celebration of culinary artistry, chef Annis can...More

The food is outstanding and creative. The sauces were especially good. The pumpkins soap with mushrooms was amazing. We also really enjoyed the orange tart we had for dessert. The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and everything was cooked to perfection. The presentation of...More

Great food! We enjoyed the sirloin steak and the barramundi. It’s clear they have a very talented chef! The ambiance is best described as “country club”. It’s nice, but doesn’t have much ‘character’ - kind of sterile decor. One thing that bothered us a bit...More

Great Patio for dining. Food is always awesome. Whenever we want to go out for something special - its always the Sydney team for us. We will continue to go back - every chance we get.

Four of us had dinner and two of the meals were fish and were good. However, two of the meals were beef - hamburger served overcooked and dry (requested medium - far from it) and beef brisket was overcooked, - therefore, it was dry and...More

Nancy, We are sorry to hear that two of your guests did not enjoy their meals Saturday evening. Had this been brought to the server's attention that night, we would have been able to fix the situation immediately by preparing new dishes to ensure that...More

We have been to this restaurant many times over the past several years when visiting our granddaughter who attends Gettysburg College. Initially the restaurant was outstanding but then it seemed to go down hill a little for a few years. Last week we were pleased...More

We celebrated a "special occasion" at Sidney, seated outdoors on a pleasant summer evening. The service was outstanding and the meal was prepared very well with an excellent presentation.

With a focus on simple ingredients, Chef Annis’ menu features small, elegant bites with sophisticated flavor. The menu, inspired by fresh, local ingredients, will change on a daily basis and has been designed to include a variety of small plates rather than the multi-course offerings of sister establishment, Restaurant Sidney in East Berlin. An extensive selection of liquor, beer, wine and cordials invites guests to relax in an urban contemporary atmosphere. The expansive outdoor seating area offers a serene experience with views of the battlefield land preserved by the National Park Service.
