We were pleasantly surprised by our experience with Chow Down Alley. They were fast, friendly, and the food was quite good. We have gone back now a couple times and we have not had a bad item yet. They have Daily Specials and Off-Menu specials. The food is reasonable priced and comes out quick. They offer many sandwiches, salads, soups.... More

This place is one of those special small businesses. The food is fresh and we loved everything we had all the way down to the homemade dessert! Worth going to. We live 45 minutes away - we found this place because a relative was in the hospital nearby and we will be back!!

This was our first time visiting this cafe and it came highly recommended to us. We ordered the Club sandwich (but on sub roll) and the turkey and bacon sub. One order was with fires and the other with onion rings. Sandwiches were average but could have used either more meat or less bread as the latter was overpowering the... More

There's only one item we get when we go to Chow Down Alley and it's the cheeseburger. Usually more hits than misses, the burger is juicy and flavorful with their seasoned salt French fries. The restaurant is more for people on their work lunch breaks than for bringing their families, but they also offer takeout.

My wife and I had to go to Jacksonville for an appointment & this place was very convenient to stop in for lunch. The selection of breakfast and lunch items is enormous and the service was outstanding. Great group of individuals working together as a team at this location! My wife had the club sandwich and I had the southwest... More

We were in Jacksonville for a baseball tournament and wanted to eat somewhere local (not a chain). We decided on Chow Down Alley after reading the Trip Advisor reviews. This is definitely kind of a mom and pop sort of a restaurant. The service was really outstanding. All of the people were very friendly. I'd like to give the food... More

There has been tremendous growth around the Bartram area of Jacksonville, FL. Bartram is just off the Old St. Augustine exit of I95. Some major franchise restaurants have moved in since the expansion of Old St. Augustine road. I would recommend passing by all of them and finding Chow Down Alley. I have been working in the Bartram area for... More

This is a local cafeteria style restaurant. Open for breakfast and lunch only. Food is fresh and not bad tasting for the price. If you're looking for a lot of meat for a very reasonable price this is it.
