This is not a restaurant as most American know it. Is what we use to call a “fonda” in reference to the small food establishments in Puerto Rico. Nothing fancy and very few tables. You walk in to that place and then the magic starts. You don’t get a waiter, everybody in the place take care of you, without overwhelming... More

Not once has the food not been perfect. Not just good, perfect. The tostones are fried to perfection and the topping is just an explosion of garlicky deliciousness. If you have fried chicken, it is crunchy yet still juicy and tender. We have never had better maduros anywhere. For the insanely low prices, you simply will not believe the value.

When my husband and I go out to eat, we go out to eat. This is not a romantic ambience or a five star experience. The server is the owner along with the chef, so you are getting their very best every single time. The food is consistently marvelous. Their maduros are the best. Unlike some other restaurants, this family... More

1,316 miles is the distance between Savannah GA and Puerto Rico but you don't have to go that far to enjoy the real culinary flavor of the island of Puerto Rico Mr. And Mrs. Menendez will transport you there in a few minutes. Love their food and cozy restaurant the friendly ambient the sounds of the Coquí and the videos... More

A piece of Puerto Rico in Savannah! So glad we found this place. Quaint. Good service. Great food. Please try one of their flans (desert). A Mom and Pop place that is worth our support.

Authentic puertorican food in Savannah, Ga. You can find all the good stuff - alcapurrias, rellenos de papa, pasteles, and the list goes on. But what I truly love is having the mofongo. The owners are friendly and keep the place organized and clean. Small seating area so it can get crowded during lunch time if you bring a big... More

I have had the opportunity to visit this establishment a handful of times. Each time I visit there is quite a bit of time in between. With saying that, I hope each time that they raise the standard. Unfortunately the food does not overly impress me. I grew up eating quite a bit of Spanish food (specifically Puerto Rican food),... More

Si, we had to wait a long time to get served, but in the end it was well worth it. All of the dishes that were so individually prepared and eventually served were real interesting and real good. Check out their menu on the Internet. We had breakfast omelets, mofongos, fried fresh plantain and green plantain, chicken, pork chops, PR... More

We just came from a Caribbean cruise and I wanted to introduce my significant other to some true Puerto Rican home made cooking. Glad we came and truly enjoyed the mofongo and other side dishes. The owner even had the time to make me her famous Flan that was ready for pick up the next morning. This place definitely deserves... More

My friend and I stopped in for lunch and had really good food. She had the lunch special which was a pork chop with yellow rice/beans and a salad while I had the chicken stew. The people were friendly, the food good and the place exceptionally clean. I want to go back to try the homemade meatballs. It's in a... More
