Right on the river, this is a good place to stop in for a few beers, play some darts upstairs or play pool, and catch some live music. Just hang and enjoy, don't expect too much more....

We loved the casual, funky ambience of the Bayou Café. We liked it so much that we ate there on two occasions during our visit to Savannah. We sat at open french doors overlooking the Riverfront Plaza and the Savannah River and ate delicious, Cajun inflected meals. The servers, Beverly and Jessie, were exceptionally warm, friendly and informative and made... More

Visited Bayou Cafe on Saturday 10/22/16 for lunch with my husband, daughter and son-in-law. This was our first visit to the cafe. They were unfortunately short staffed but our service did not suffer. We ordered the blue crab claws and crawfish tails as apps. They were delicious. They have their own sauce they sell which was amazing. We bought some... More

We were told about lots of places to eat in Savanna, but we chose the Bayou Cafe pretty much on a whim, The waitress asked questions and then made suggestions. This is a fun place to eat and enjoy music.

We had a table by the window so we could watch the happenings on East Bay St. We wanted sea food and we were directed to the "New Orleans" section of the menu. Our waitress spent alot of time with us. She asked questions to determine what we liked and then pointed us to some choices. My Crawfish Etouffee was... More

Tried a trio of gumbos, which was the hit of the meal. This dive bar cafe is a great place to hang and drink beer! Etoufee was sadly, so so!

The bartender recommended shrimp and grits and I thanked her. The restaurant is right across from the ferry on river street and by the historic stairs that go to the main level of the city. Friendly staff!

Did not eat here but ducked in for some drinks and live music. The band was an amazing band and we enjoyed the music. It is a place where locals go so you might feel a little out of place but don't let it intimidate you.

Stopped in for an early dinner. Bar tender was extremely hospitable and have recommendations on the menu. Even heard a little ghost story while we waited.

Stopped in late for a drink and some grub. Enjoyed our drinks with the barkeep. The vibe from the old building was mind blowing. Building was from the 1700 or 1800 hundreds. I was just mesmerized by the entire place.
