Being new to Savannah I was told by many that THIS was the place to go for great middle eastern food. The owners are delightful and engaging. I ordered my curried chicken wrap/Gyro to go as I only live 3 blocks away. I got into my truck.....took 1 bite and drove off. As soon as I realized how AMAZINGLY delicious... More

Get the lamb and avoid the chicken. If authenticity is important to you, don't bother. The entire place could use a good cleaning. The chicken gyro was dry and flavorless, and came with a sad side of crinkle fries and a can of soda. The pita was stale and store bought. Earlier reviews' praises of the food's freshness were contradicted... More

Great experience here! Excellent food as we had the falafel and lamb platters that come with pita bread, hummus, and baba ganoughe. All of the food was fabulous and fresh. We ended with baklava which is the best I've ever had. Will be going back just for that to take home. The owner was incredibly kind and spent a few... More

Love this place - particularly for a quick bite. Excellent food. Not much place to sit, but you can do take out so easily.

So.......everyone told me how great this place was.......and the reviews are all excellent......but I'm a tough critic of GOOD food. This place is a very small "hole in the wall" and you could pass right by it if you blinked. DON'T BLINK !!! You HAVE to eat here. It's off the charts. Fresh. Well prepared, well seasoned, DELICIOUS. I had... More

I was surprised about how good the food was in this little joint next to a laundromat. I eat the falafel now once a week and it comes with an option of hot or regular. The fries have a red spice on them which is a nice touch for a little more flavor. There isn't much seating inside, but I've... More

My associates and I stopped in for lunch. For such a small corner store, the food was amazing and the owner/employees were very welcoming. I would definitely recommend for those that want some authentic middle eastern food!

Al Salaam Deli is tiny inside and it is what I would describe as a dive. My husband and I had been searching for a good Gyro in Savannah and we found it at Al Salaam. We have now eaten there several times and our lunch has been delicious every time. The food is all cooked to order and the... More

This is a go to spot for us. We love it. The curry chicken salad is incredible as are the gyros. My fiance and I usually get one of both and split them. It is the most underrated place in Savannah. The front of the restaurant is not very inviting however it is a must try for folks from Savannah... More
