This restaurant is open only from 11:00 - 3:00 and doesn't take reservations; so when we arrived with a large party at opening hour we joined several other large groups following a local high school graduation. They were able to seat all 14 of us in 10 minutes. Decor is great; the high ceilings are a real asset and the... More

Clean, comfortable, welcoming space. Good service. Food fresh and delicious. On our visit we enjoyed meatloaf, mac & cheese, french fries, okra and Greek chicken pita. It was all freshly prepared and delicious.

We sat outside with our dog. They quickly brought out a water dish with ice. We had the fried shrimp, Howling chicken, and the fish taco. All great!!! I loved the okra side.

When I walked up to the door, there waa a sign saying they were closing for an event in 40min. But they still sat me, and fed me well! Beautiful atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Def recommend.

Eclectic southern contemporary cuisine, love the fried green tomato sandwiches. My husband never orders anything except the tomato bisque with a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich. This place is wonderful. Don't miss it while you're in Savannah only open for breakfast and lunch

Went here when we were told that their sister restaurant would be a 45 minute wait. We were seated quickly and were able to enjoy our lunch.

We happened upon this restaurant while looking for another one! Best mistake we could have ever made, I got the lettuce wraps and my boyfriend got a grilled cheese with ham and tomato, it also came with Mac and cheese and tomato bisque and all of the food was amazing! Our waiter was great and always made sure our drink... More

Everyone in our group loved the food here. The service was great, too. We stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday. We did not have reservations but were seated immediately. I had a salad with blackened chicken. My friend had the tomato bisque and grilled cheese sandwich. The other two in our group had the lobster salad sandwiches. All of... More

From beginning to end our experience at Soho South was terrible. Our phone number was taken down incorrectly when we arrived and we did not realize until after we had waited a while and checked on our table's status. We had them change the number and they bumped us to the bottom of the list. When we asked why we... More

Description
Soho South Cafe has been made famous by its patrons as one of Savannah's staple weekly lunch and Sunday brunch spots. Opening its doors in 1997, Soho South Cafe is located in the heart of Historic Downtown Savannah, appropriately named after the iconic New York City neighborhood for its proximity to nearby shops and entertainment venues. Built originally as an automotive service station in 1945, the building sat vacant for a number of years before the restaurant's original owners acquired the space and transformed it into a restaurant. Most recently, the restaurant was acquired by Daniel Reed Hospitality and remodeled to make improvements to the existing model which represents the latest adaptation as it stands today. The design of the restaurant incorporates elements of iconic, archetypal New York City. The quirky, eclectic esthetic lends a sense of humor to the monumental, vast interior space which includes the buildings original exposed elements such as the steel windows, iron trusses, and solid wooden garage doors. The overall atmosphere results in a casual dining experience that works perfectly for lunch and private events.
