Wish I could rate the service and atmosphere separately from the food. Service and atmosphere were fabulous, but the food was a bit disappointing. We were seated promptly and never wanted for anything. There was a lovely piano playing that added just the right amount of background music that added to the quaint and historic decor. But when it came... More

My husband and I enjoyed trout and seafood for dinner. The waiter was very attentive and the meal would have been wonderful except for the couple at a near by table who couldn't be happy with anything it seemed...........I felt sorry for the waiter, guess it takes all kinds.

The atmosphere inviting. The service was spot on, courteous and professional. The food was scrumptious. Crab stew and honey dipped biscuits are not to be missed.

I so wanted to write a positive review for this restaurant - the historical setting was amazing and I loved the ghost stories. However, our food came out cold. The server, Hill, let the food sit on the tray for a food 15 minutes before bringing it to the table. Then - as this was my mother's birthday dinner -... More

Southern hospitality is what we received. I ordered the Neptune & would order this again. Delicious and the presentation was beautiful. Romantic setting with a piano player and cloth napkins and excellent service. Abagail was a great server.

Lovely holiday decorations, quiet dining, wonderful waitstaff and really good coffee. What more could one want. Very charming place. We had a one-day visit to Savannah and are so glad we made this choice for our Saturday brunch.

Loved the atmosphere of the old building. Definitely felt like we were at an old inn. Busy night but service was quite good, friendly and prompt. Also enjoyed the background piano during dinner. Wonderful, fresh salad. I was surprised how much I enjoyed the jambalaya. Tasty and spicy without too much heat. The shrimp scampi was one of the best.... More

When your waiter's body odor is overpowering, it's really hard to enjoy your meal. We have a home in Savannah and eat out a great deal. We booked our reservation and joined friends for dinner at 1790. What we noticed - and could not help from noticing - was the assault on our olfactory senses when the waiter approached our... More

We were visiting Savannah for the holidays. While we loved the ambiance and the food was amazing, our best experience of the evening was the wonderful server John!! John was so very personable always with a smile on his face while making sure our family felt right at home. However, there was a moment during our evening that John was... More
