My friend invited us to Franklins for lunch...it was DELICIOUS. Portions were huge, price was reasonable and the atmosphere was quaint and cozy. The bakery, where everything is mad fresh daily was unavoidable to pass up on the way out. We wanted on one everything. But, we settled for cannolis, pusties, and cream puffs. I will definitely look forward to... More

Authentic Italian food, large portions, cheap prices and desserts to die for! Make sure you bring cash with you because they don't take cards

The food here is very good. The desserts -- especially the rum cake -- are outstanding. Their banquet and catering practices are above average. I enjoy my meals here, and they accommodate families well.

The Franklin Hotel definitely does not look super inviting from the outside. Once you navigate into the building, it doesn't look much better but at least seems to be clean. They do not accept cards but they do have an ATM on premises. The hosts are usually not very friendly but the servers generally are. There is very little room... More

Okay, so the Franklin looks like a dive bar from the outside. Inside, it looks a little better than a dive, but not much (although it's clean.) However, I actually think the Franklin is really, really good. Do you want to have a first date here? Probably not. It's crowded and noisy and the wait staff are all business. But,... More

The food here is really good. The environment used to be not so nice. A lot better since smoking has been prohibited. Good place for the common man; not an "upscale" place. But the food and deserts here are very good!

Stopped for lunch. First time here. The entrance was a bit confusing but we figured it out and found the hostess. I have to agree with other reviews, the hostess was unfriendly. Our server more than made up for it, she was friendly, helpful and attentive. She started us off with a large serving of fresh bread w/garlic butter, fresh... More

I was quickly reminded of why I stopped eating here years ago. It was a decision made out of protest to be honest with you. The food is good, parking is ample, and the portions are generous, but that it where the good stops. The hostess is not the friendliest person your ever going to meet, she is just kind... More

Not much to look at on the outside. Not much better on the inside. Very good food. Try a special. Amazing dessert pastries. Bring cash. No credit cards.

We went for lunch at the Franklin Hotel. We ordered pasta in tomato sauce and burgers. I asked for a lettuce wrap on the burger since I'm trying to watch my carbs. The waitress and chef had never heard of that before. My romaine lettuce had been on the burger so long it had wilted. I ended up eating the... More
