I waited to post to see if people thought things had improved at The Grant House. We went for dinner and I ordered a potato and mushroom hash as it had mushrooms and kale, two favorites. I was so disappointed. It had to be 85% potatoes. The mushroom stems were chewy. There was very little kale or anything else green.... More

Thank you for letting us know Elizabeth, I know that we spoke when you were in and we now do not have that item on the menu any longer. As you know, the traditional hash is primarily potatoes. The mushrooms we use are the wild mushrooms that are in season at the time as we get our produce delivered daily.... More

While visiting Fort Vancouver I spotted The Grant House on Officer's Row. The historic home, now a restaurant, is beautiful and I really thought it would be a great dinner experience. However, my wife and I were in for a disappointment. We were seated on an enclosed patio with beautiful views of large trees and lush greenery. We asked our... More

Love the Grant House! We come here often because the food is excellent, great wine list, good service (although a bit slow sometimes) and its quiet. Being on the national registry of historic places means this lovely house is true to the original woodworking and decor which I enjoy so much. We have taken my elderly parents here because it... My sister and I sat for sixty three minutes waiting for service, the couple next to us for at least forty And NO SERVICE. Three trips to the kitchen and nothing, not even drinks. What is happening when no one responds. I know you are better than this!

Lovely setting for lunch. Food was delicious and service was excellent. We toured the historic building and it appears to have excellent private meeting rooms as well.

Reserved a quiet room upstairs for a small business meeting. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive and met every need while not intruding. We ordered beverages, salads, soup, quiche, veggie burrito. Everyone was pleased with the presentation, flavors and portions. The ambience simply can't be beat! If you plan to dine upstairs, be prepared for dealing with the stairs. They are... More

The Grant House is one of several historical buildings located in Officers Row in Vancouver, WA. This one is open to the public as a restaurant, but I understand it may be closing down soon, If you like old buildings for their historical value and like a decent meal, pay a visit soon. They often have live music during the... More

We were driving back from the Seattle and managed to locate this restaurant without any problems off of I-5. The menu is just right for lunch. The ambience is charming and the service was friendly and accommodating. The bowl of yam bisque soup was excellent topped with sausage and Brie cheese--accompanied by a glass of Prosecco. The spinach salad was... More

Hidden in the middle of Officer's Row on the Ft Vancouver Reserve, this place is easy to overlook. The food is excellent and although the menu is somewhat limited, it allows the chef to concentrate on making things excellent and to provide new and interesting changes. There is a small quiet bar area and both indoor and outdoor seating in... More
