Looking for a great deli. Then stop in to Zaftigs in Brookline. Corn beef done right stacked in a onion role with a slice of Swiss. Sat at the bar and watched as they cranked out beautifully crafted sandwiches. One after another. Coke slaw outstanding. Pickle just right the new kind not to sour. This Texan will return.

While the reviewer who stated delis are better in NY isn't wrong, Zaftig's is a deliciously decent deli in the Boston area. Loved the noodle kugel, potato knish, potato latke and the like on the combo plate, but also devoured the unconventional black bean veggie burger (that roll!) and fabulous fries. Service was excellent, the waiters and waitresses are quite... More

Great food, great prices, great menu and great service. We ate there three times in three days stay because there was so much on the menu we wanted to try. Alll good, some great meals! Staff was super nice and recognized us on our returns. Highly recommend!

Not the best deli, but certainly the best deli in Boston. Boston is only 160 miles from NY, but when measured by corned beef instead of miles, it's a great deal further. Good eggs, and great deserts.

We came in for early dinner on a Monday night, and were seated in the window area. We enjoyed street views and people coming in for take out while waiting for our meals. Peggy was a fun waitperson, and very accommodating. Son and I split an order of potato pancakes for an app and we loved it. I ordered Nanny... More

Packed but a short wait - waitresses fast, efficient and always with a smile! Food is superb and done well - love the crème cheese that comes with their bagels. Eggs done properly and come with fruit, home fries. Not your usual diner - more for the Harvard crowd. Coffee - can't get enough - delicious!

One of the few places for real hearty brunch on Sunday morning, which is a problem with long long lines. Great French toast
