Great place in Cobble Hill to enjoy brunch with something more then just your standard egg based dishes. We had croquetas, tomato toast and shishito peppers to start and my lamb burger was an excellent entree

Cobble Hill location. Unassuming from the outside with large glass windows looking out to the street. We had a lunch reservation and were seated right away. Nice interior, some of the decor evoking a mudejar mood. They have a very small outside garden space. Friendly...More

Very good atmosphere, the service is very nice and the food is exceptional. The portions are not very big, but if you combine 3 to 4 disher you have an excellent meal.

The service is knowledgeable but can suffer small gaps in attention. The wine list is minimal and worthy of a new purchase. For starters while ordering, the spicy Garbanzos Fritos or lovely spiced fried chickpeas are very fresh and unique The starters are excellent. The...More

I live in the neighborhood and have been to La Vara a few times, and I still don't get what the fuss is all about. The good news is that La Vara is one of few very popular spots in the area that takes reservations,...More
