Went here for a dinner with a colleague that is in love with the wings. They are whole, fried and Coates with fish sauce and tamarind. Very interesting flavor. We also had the boar collar which was spicy and full of flavor. Service was good, ambience was okay. Tamarind whiskey sour was a good drink.

Disclaimer: I like Vietnamese food but don't eat a ton of it. That said, our friends raved about this place. Our takeout was ready 30 minutes after we were told it would be. It was good, definitely worth a try, but I can't understand based on this experience how it has the reputation it does, or a Michelin star. This... More

I have two buddies I've known since middle school. 3 times a year we get together to celebrate each other's birthdays at a restaurant of the honoree's deciding. The goal is to pick somewhere a bit more exciting and exotic than the local pub, as we hangout there most of the other nights of the year. Pok Pok was our... More

The service was terrible. We had to wait 40 minutes for a salad and chicken wings (the table next to us arrived 10 minutes after us and got their food - 5 dishes! - way before us). There were no waiting staff on the floor for a good while, we had no drinks and no food and not even news... More

This is Probably some of the most authentic thai food I've had outside of Thailand. The water is even flavored with the rice. The dishes are true to Thailand and not Americanized which is great. My only real complaint about this place is the price, while the papaya salad is great, $12 for papaya salad is steep considering you pay... More

Cozy and welcoming atmosphere, friendly and attentive server who was more than helpful in explaining the different options and helping us find the perfect selections for the two of us. Server was never intrusive but provided that balance of alacrity and privacy that just enhanced the whole experience. Drink specials were interesting, as were the textures of the different menu... Beautiful and relaxed restaurant, with super spicy and exciting food. Well priced for NYC standards. The menu was too good to pick from but what we ordered was incredible!

My review of the experience is overwhelmingly positive. The atmosphere is very laid back, very authentic, and very Thai. Since its opening in Brooklyn, there have been lines around the block waiting for Pok Pok to open for dinner. During this occasion, years later, the excitement is more subdued. There are no lines, but the interior is packed. The inside... More

Pok Pok has great food and creative, delicious drinks. Service is polite and quick, and also able to help navigate the menu. It isn't cheap (we spent around $100 each with tip) but it's definitely a worthwhile experience.

I was a bit worried when walking into Pok Pok but was referred by a very good friend saying he'd been there many times and assured me the food was amazing. We just ordered a bunch of items and shared. I must say everything was amazing. We ordered the Vietnamese Fish Sauce Wings, Muu Paa Kham Waan (Boar rubbed with... More
