Son has wanted to try this place for a while. We were 4 people and only 1 of us was satisfied with the meal. The red snapper was satisfactory but the pasta dish with a beef/veal ragu, the rabbit and the rack of lamb did...More

Convivium Osteria is a lovely and cozy place serving very good food. There are Italian, Spanish and Portuguese dishes with an extensive wine list to match. There is a nice selection of appetizers and the pasta was excellent. It was Friday night and all the...More

Weeks ago I booked a reservation for dinner and received an email today from Opentable that the reservation had been cancelled. I was given no explanation. I would have hoped that the restaurant would have used the telephone number I provided to contact me. Not...More

My family and I were in town for a burial at the Green-Wood Cemetary (another amazing place to visit) and were looking for a place to host a dinner with those who attended. Since I was coming in from out of town and unfamiliar with...More

I've been here twice and the food is always great here. The staff is quick and attentive. Artichoke and octopus are great to start and then the ravioli with the duck ragú sauce is to die for!

Have been to this restaurant a couple times and each time was better than the last. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive and the food is outstanding. The wine list is never ending with some great finds at reasonable prices. Well worth the visit, enjoy

A lovely little restaurant. Very cozy and intimate. It was my birthday and we got a nice little table by the window. We ordered a bottle of cava and the waiter, after checking, regretfully informed us they were out. He recommended a more expensive bottle,...More

A very attentive staff and well prepared dishes help to make this a pleasant, and even romantic experience. The cellar was more subdued than upstairs. Either one would have been good.

It's all very well to have been one of the first decent places in the area, but these days they have the Barclays Center around and many places are upping their game. Quit ramming customers all together and behaving so blasé, especially when charging this...More

I really don't recall specifically but I don't think they do. But even though I like a martini if I am dining out, this was such a good experience that the next time I am in NYC and in the same area, I am sure I will go back.

Carlo & Michelle Pulixi opened Convivium Osteria in November 2000. Revered as one of the most romantic and authentic restaurants in New York, our cuisine and wine reflect a love for Italian tradition. Attention to details comes first, like where our ingredients come from, the homemade pasta we make daily, the house-baked desserts that Michelle prepares. We only use meat from naturally raised animals and we buy our fruit and produce from local farmers, whenever possible. On our menu, you will find traditional dishes like Carciofo alla Romana and Gnudi di spinaci and ricotta di pecora with asiago fondue, or a grilled baby octopus and whole roasted seabass, pan-roasted sausage stuffed quail with figs and a port wine reduction or our pinenut crusted rack of lamb. We cater private events in our romantic wine cellar. It is our love for socializing, food and wine that inspired our ideas for Convivium, a lodging for purity and honesty in what we do, what we eat, what we see and how we live.
