Everyone had a great time, starting with a very reasonable ($32) Cote du Rhone which everyone loved. Not exactly Paris, but good French style cooking. I had coq au vin, which was very flavorful - everybody got a bite and it got big raves. Others had mussels, a hamburger, salad and squid ink pasta with shrimp - everyone was happy.... More

We reserved a table at Bar Tabac on New Years Eve as we had heard som many positive comments about this restaurant and about their Moulles frittes. I even pointed out in our request to book a table that we wanted that dish. We were very disapointed when we arrived to the restaurant that they only served a special menu... More

Very friendly, great breakfast on Christmas morning. Much better option than breakfast in a hotel. Great cappuccino. Atmosphere is intimate, French cafe style. You won't be rushed from your table, at least on Christmas morning!

Went for drinks only. There was a Spanish duo singing flamenco songs. The drinks were expensive but the ambiance well worth the brief visit. Couldn't rate the food as we had drinks only.

Excellent location, great food. We ate outside and started with the onion soup which was excellent. The goat cheese salad and the kale salad were also excellent. Our server, Oscar, was over the top in his level of service. The people watching was icing on the cake.

It's one of these oh-so-cool places that has fallen prey to the new trend of refusing to take credit cards, which is a pain in the Khyber if you are no longer a resident of the US. It's pretty much the same as it ever was, with decent food, and snooty but effective service in a great little area of... More

Really enjoyed the meal. Sat outside on a warm evening where we could hear the band but it would be too loud. The food was really good and a fair price. The only sad thing was at the end we found out they only took American Express credit card. Luckily we had enough cash.

Tabac is busy from its early opening to its close, and for good reasons. A warm, informal atmosphere, entertainment every night, knowledgeable waitstaff and really good food: mussels, hangar steak, soups, sides. Cash only!!

After patronizing Bar Tabac for well over 10 years as my go to neighborhood place, I went for dinner last nite ( with my wife) and sad to say we will not return. Despite understanding that their A team may be on vacation in Aug. the place was barely 1/3 full but the attention we received from our waiter was... More

A friend brought me here after work one night and I've been going there ever since. They make very tasty, thoughtful, visually appealing food with French flair. The quality is uniform, no matter what the hour, and the service is always impeccable. The staff makes you feel welcome and papered. The decor makes you remember or imagine a day in... More
