We got off the plane from Paris, took a nap, and met family here for dinner. We laughed upon realizing the place heavily features French food, but, what the hell. The mussels were fat and juicy, the duck confit frisee salad was a minor revelation. Our server was attentive and warm. My frugal wife spent more ($49) than she usually... More

We sat outside which was a lovely setting for this somewhat expensive restaurant..However, the food, service, wine and setting fitted the bill exactly. It is fairly pricey, but hey, that's New York and we were not disappointed one little bit.

Remember the slogan, Where's the Beef? Well, if you order the brandade or the crab cake at Bacchus you'll wonder Where's the Fish. In the brandade, a classic dish with cod and mashed potatoes, the cod had gone AWOL. The crab cake, usually lots of crab held together by as little bread as possible, was mush and mostly sans crab.... More

I love this local gem. Once a week they serve all you can eat mussels. Their specials are always wonderful. The service is warm and gracious and there is a huge assortment of French wines to choose from.

We were visiting our daughter-in-law and her husband in Brooklyn and we went to Bacchus after we couldn't get in to Battersby. They had been there before and enjoyed it. We had a very pleasant meal. The wine list was excellent and very French. I ordered a Chateau Teynac 2009 which was perfect. We started with a good bread and... More

Unfortunately we missed the unlimited mussels on Tuesday night. The dressing on the side salad was the best balsamic vinaigrette we have had. The Branzino was mouth watering and the L'Onglet was excellent. The service was exceptional.

Really great French-style bistro. Have been here mostly for brunch, and one lunch. Everything on the menu is great, and the service is "polite." Overall, quite good.

a busy, cold and rainy Fall night. Half the restaurant was being used for a wedding party so the half that was available was full & tight. first, know that they only have a wine bar and offered 3 beer selections. the wine list was exceptional. there is a small bar that appeared to be used by patrons waiting for... Love it. A hidden jewel just a few blocks walk from the dirty bustle of downtown Brooklyn. Indoor outdoor seating. Two bars. Great menu. Decent wine selection. Great staff.
