I've been to this place twice. I have tried many Peruvian restaurants in the five boroughs, and this one is just average. I always order the Beef Lomo Saltado and Chicha Morada to really gauge the quality of their recipes and this is just average to say the least. It really lacked in flavor as I have experienced at other... More

I can't get enough of this restaurant. Use to dine with friends when I lived in New York and still visit when I'm in town. Great local, locale with terrace in the back. All the dishes are delicious. It is considered a Peruvian restaurant but you will find something to fill your taste. The lobster dish takes two people to... More

The food was ok but the $75.00 dollar charge for a bottle of wine that costs $15.00 killed the taste of the food. Can you believe the owner said this is a great wine !

This place is a small restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It is always full of people, and it didn't disappoint us. The food is very good, with a lot of choiches. We didn't wait long and at the end the owner offered us two shots of tequila. Nice place, definitely going back

We arrived with a reservation at 7:30 and was promptly seated. The restaurant was filling up and the noise level was high but the quality and freshness of the food more than made up for it. I ordered the ceviche pescado which is a blue fish snapper with medium spice and it was absolutely fresh with awesome flavor and an... More

Walked in on 12/9/2910 for a late night dinner at 9pm. I ordered a ceviche mixto with a side order of yellow rice and a skirt steak with basil spaghetti. The ceviche was very fresh, had a just the right amount of lime juice and cilantro. There was a bit of heat in the ceviche but overall well balanced. Had... More

I never go to New York City without going to Chimu. Some of the best Spanish food around and the restaurant has a small casual dining in a nice cozy setting.
