Ate here twice during a week of hiking and exploring in August. Bottomless coffee cup, large chocolate milk with with whip cream for kiddos and service with a smile - just what you need after long day.

Knowing the location, my expectations were certainly met and exceeded. We had a great breakfast before hitting the trails. Can't beat the location!

Ordered take out at this sit down restaurant. Pulled pork sandwich and chicken fingers were both good. Also got muffins for next morning. Big and moist.

The food and the service were both average. There's not a lot of variety or really anything memorable. There is a selection of ice creams and pie including huckleberry.

Adequate breakfast fare. Prices high, but similar to others in the area. Staff getting ready to leave for the season, not at all attentive. If you need quick meal before going to the park, this will serve.

There are not many restaurants around in West Glacier but no need for it. If you're not in the mood to cook then venture here. They have great breakfast and the dinner is just as good. The service is quick and friendly. If i had to pick the best part of this restaurant, it would be the desserts. You can... More

Not very busy when I went there. Dinner of salad, chicken fried steak and huckleberry pie was wonderful. Down home country cooking. Nothing fancy but filling after a day of hiking and touring the park. Service was not real fast but friendly. Lake McDonald Lodge provides a shuttle to the village if you don't have a car. I arrived on... More

We were five minutes before the ending of breakfast and thirty minutes before the beginning of lunch. The hostess was not encouraging at all. We purchased coffee and muffins and left. The muffins were very dry.

Stopped here on our way out of Glacier N.P. The food was alright. The restaurant was average nothing real fancy and was pretty clean. I thought the prices were a bit high but I guess that's to be expected just outside of a National Park. I had the club sandwich and fries and it was more then I could eat.

Do NOT consult the online menu...we did and saw a number of decent choices....when we got there, the "real" menu was much more limited and not a lot of choices, especially if you don't eat meat or fried food. I had the chicken Caesar....It was fresh and a good size. My husband had fish and chips..his comment was "Mrs. Paul's... More

Description
We welcome you to Glacier National Parks West Entrance as we have welcomed visitors for over sixty years. The restaurant and other West Glacier Mercantile buildings were constructed in 1938 at the junction of the Going to the Sun Road and US Highway 2. We are open mid May thru mid September, serving breakfast lunch and dinner. Our food is all home made, desserts are amazing and staff is exceptional. We are able to accommodate your group whatever the size. We are fully licensed so you may enjoy a cocktail with your meal and we do take out or sack lunches if you prefer to eat "on the fly". Stop in and check out our ice cream cones or huckleberry cream pie!
