The hike up to the Sperry Chalet Restaurant is an absolutely breathtaking hike and a must do on any Glacier National Park stop- with your goal being the restaurant to refuel your energy! The staff and the Sperry Chalet are extremely friendly and made sure we enjoyed our lunch and our dessert after a 6.5 hike up to their location... More

Amazing what these enthusiastic people can do up in the back country - stayed 2 nights which included Cook to order breakfast, a bag lunch for the trail and a 5-course meal. One night was a full Thanksgiving meal and the other was a chicken dish - well prepared. Staff and guests introduce themselves each night and talk a bit... More

It must be said that my rating of this restaurant has in part to be interpreted as a rating of the overall experience of climbing 3300 feet to an elevation of over 6500ft, avoiding grizzlies and flash floods, with a family including two teenagers which manages to stay talking despite 2 weeks of wilderness hiking! Toasted cheese is toasted cheese... More

Start with the parameters - everything comes by mule-train, so the menu is limited. On the day we visited it was snowing (yes, in August) so they offered grilled cheese sandwiches, lentil soup and cookies. Sandwich was $7, soup & sandwich was $10.

If you're planning a stay at Sperry Chalet, dinner and breakfast at the restaurant will be included. And since there's no where else to eat for miles around, it's pretty much your only option. That said, they don't take their monopoly for granted! We had two great meals there... "Thanksgiving Dinner" and a made-to-order breakfast. The bacon at breakfast was... More

They serve lunch to backpackers and energetic day hikers. Wholesome food with homemade breads, cookies, and pie. The Chalet has great views and wonderful staff.

I camped once at Sperry Chalet last summer ~ 2015 & then lucked into a room at Sperry Chalet in August. After a long, steep climb up from Lake McDonald getting a toasted tuna sandwich on bread made that day along with a strong cup of coffee is heavenly. Especially since it had started to drizzle about 1/4 mile before... More

After a long, strenuous hike we came to the Sperry Chalet. It was not so busy. That seems logic, because you have to hike in and it's about 7 miles one way. People were very friendly. The choices of food are limited. That is normal too, as everything has to be brought up to the Chalet with horses/mules, including the... More

the remote location and logistical challenges meant that the food was simple. Serves were generous and the service friendly.
