My husband and I, along with my brother-and sister-in law, wandered into this cafe in the early afternoon last weekend and were more than pleasantly surprised by our experience. It's a small place, light-filled, with a nice selection of craft beers and a pretty extensive wine list. Our lunches were delicious and interesting. My sister-in-law declared the BLT the best... What a complete evening of food and drink at this restaurant. The quality was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable. You want to eat here.

If you're looking for some food that is delicious and a little out of the ordinary, try this place. The BLT was just the best-homemace bread, fabulous bacon, and a curry mayo-to die for!

After a day of slogging through the snow on various hikes along the north-shore of Lake Superior, what a delight it was to enjoy a wonderful lunch at the Crooked Spoon Cafe, the soup was amazing and the BTL and cole slaw was simply outstanding! A great cafe accompanied by wonderful service. We will be going back for sure.

Travelling by boat from Thunder Bay to Superior Wisconsin in October, the weather took a nasty turn so we ducked in to Grand Marais for the evening. We heard about the Crooked Spoon and decided to go there for dinner. Our gracious hostess informed us that it would be an hour for a table, so we went up to the... More

This little place has wonderful gourmet food! The steaks are fabulous and so is the fish. The portions are very large and fresh. This is an expensive place to eat, however, the food is worth it. Try the french onion soup -- it is one of our favorites.

I'd been to the Crooked Spoon with my fiance last summer when we moved to the area and we just had appetizers. This time, we decided to stay for dinner and take some family from out of town with us. Everyone really enjoyed their meal; my hanger steak was delish, even though I asked for it medium rare and it... More

Limited menu items, but each is unique and worth the taste test. Enjoyed the chicken salad with walnuts and grapes; asked for it on bread to make my favorite: chicken salad sandwich. Spouse had the greens with trout; very good and the tomatoes were especially flavorful. Will come back.

We stopped in after a chilly day of hiking and climbing on the rocks. Easy place to stop in for something besides the typical fare you find in town. We had the BLT and garlic chicken and both were really good will full flavor. Deserts were amazing too! We have a new favorite in Grand Marais.
