We decided to eat at Cafe Verona because it was close by after visiting the Truman Library. We were greeted by a smile and seated near the window. The choices were plentiful and it was tough to decide. We chose the salmon portofino and pasta/chicken...More

A couple of years ago Cafe Verona was one of our top go-to places, but for some reason we let it slip farther and farther down our list. Yes, there are other very good Italian restaurants around town. Salvatore's for veal, Summit Grill for calamari,...More

I love this restaurant. They have a beautiful patio with a water fountain splashing in the background, colorful flowers and ambiance. Italian food, and a good.glass of wine for lunch or a early evening meal is perfect.

Food is good, but I don’t consider 5 ravioli to be enough for the price. That’s for sure. What is very good is the mulled wine in the winter.

I have never had a bad experience here. The humus trio is delicious and a must have when dining. I love you can create your own pasta and flavors too.

Great meal in a little, hidden away location off the square in Independence. Lasagna was outstanding as was the rigatoni with sausage and Rosa sauce. If you like Italian food you HAVE to seek cafe Verona out and experience their food!!

Based on other reviews I had high hopes for Cafe Verona. Unfortunately, the food really fell flat. We began our meal with 3 cheese and bacon stuffed mushrooms. The cheese and bacon were good answer were satisfied with the appetizer. We ordered the Chicken Carciofi...More

Yes, there is an upstairs level that should fit your needs. I highly recommend calling the restaurant to confirm.

There are good gluten free options, but not an entire menu is devoted to gluten free dishes.
