Fast and friendly service. Good prices. We both had Huevos Rancheros. I had the green sauce with corn tortilla. Their sauces are meaty like a thin chorizo chili on top of the tortilla and eggs. Excellent with just enough heat. Crispy hash browns and a red leaf salad made for a complete meal. The salad was an inexpensive side dish.

We ate breakfast here on a Saturday morning and the place was full because locals know this is a great place to eat. All three of us had a different egg dish and we were all happy. My omelette was fluffy and great, the hash browns were crispy and the biscuit homemade and delicious. We look forward to eating here... More

This is a local place to be sure. The breakfast is always good. If you are in Cortez, it is worth the effort to look for.

It was raining when we awoke at the Morefield campground in Mesa Verde. Went into Cortez for breakfast. Pippo's hit the spot. Mostly full, good service, large to senior serving breakfasts from french toast to breakfast burritos. All good.

This was my kind of place. We were passing by and I had a hunch this would be a great little place. I really liked Pippo's nostalgic feel of dinners that seems to be fast disappearing from the American landscape.Nothing fancy. Clean, friendly and tasty food. What more could you ask for and all at a reasonable price. Long live... More

Ah, at last a menu where I could order just one pancake, instead of the stack one usually has to fight a way through.. It's was done to perfection, so was the omelet my husband ordered.. The waitresses were quick and smiling.. I'd definitely like to come back here, next time we're coming through Cortez

Great food, service was a bit slow. Will go back next time we go through Cortez. They have 1/2 size breakfast items, which was perfect for me!

Decided to stop when leaving Cortez and glad we did. This place could qualify for Diners Drive Inns and Dives. Home cooking at its finest. We loved our breakfast and enjoyed the small town feeling.

Planned to go to a different joint down the street but discovered that other one was cash only so Pippos was the place to go. It was great! Best diner food around and so cheap. Great service too (and they take credit cards)!

Stopped in for breakfast, lots of locals come here. We ordered huevos rancheros and chile omelet. Both were around $7.85 and came with hash brown potatoes and your choice of bread or pancakes. They have a senior (62 and older) menu which is a bargain. Food came promptly and was delicious. The red and green chile sauces were tasty. You... More
