I go there frequency as it is a quick and delicious lunch. The value you get for the meal is outstanding!

Well worth visiting for the Raspberry Margarita's alone. Seriously refreshing & one of the best EVER! Was hot outside, thought as we headed up the stairs it would be super hot & sticky inside. Wrong, was a cool & pleasant, reminiscent of a memorable "vacation atmosphere". Warm chips & authentic flavorful salsa were served almost immediately. Service was polite, fast,... More

Best. Salsa. Ever. I had the enchiladas verdes, they were good but the house - made salsa was the best I've ever had

The food was very good! I had a taco salad with ground beef. It was full of vegetables, meat, and cheese. The chips and salsa were great! The décor and furnature could see some updating, but overall the service was great and the food was very good, too.

Medium food quality, marguerita was so sweet and looks like no tequila, good service - I was the first client in that evening.

The food was average quality but the space was attractive although upstairs above the State Street conviviality. The place looked great from the street but the food was not as good as the promise.

We enjoyed our mail quite a lot. The food was in our opinion authentic, compared to the poor imitation Mexican food we get at home in The Netherlands. The setting is average but they tried to make it cosy in a modern boxy building. The location is stimulating on a crossroad with lots of roadside cafes and plenty of students.... More

We ate at Casa de Lara again recently, and were pleased to note that the quality of their food had not diminished one bit in the intervening years since our last visit. The prices were also quite reasonable - particularly in light of the very hearty portions. One downside: the service, though friendly and helpful, was quite slow. The restaurant... More

Overpriced for the quality. Very slow service. They offer a bucket of 4 Coronas on their drink menu for $10. Sounds ok right? Until they bring you four 7 oz bottles. Did I mention the slow service? The food was mediocre at best. They don't mention tomatoes on most of their items, but then they pack them full so they... More
