Sucre has been a favorite place for years. I go to New Orleans often for vacation and I always have to stop by Sucre and load up on their wonderful Macarons. Everything in the store is delicious! Sucre is located on a quaint section of Magazine Street. There are fun little shops to explore around the store. Even though I... More

Just walking past, and this place looked fun. Fantastic sorbets and ice cream, they have a fancy eclair you've got to try too! Decent prices for a tourist trap. Would come again.

I had the best ice cream sundae here that I have ever had. All of their deserts are rich and yummy. If you like chocolate this is the place to go.

Some desserts are simple. Not here at Sucre. Such a find. Amazing dessert. Loved everything and surely ate too much after dinner at this gem.

Traveled all the way from Atlanta to pick up some macaroons! This place has the best ones! They are expensive, I think, at $2.00 a pop, but well worth it. You don't have to travel there to get some, they have a great website you can order from. I can't wait to go back to get some more because they... More

EVERYTHING in this store is BEAUTIFUL. Pastries, candy, sundaes, macaroons, marshmallows, and king cake. Truly BEAUTIFUL. I was with 6 friends and we shared everything so I was able to try several things. I had a s'more dessert that was delightful. Seriously, any of the gorgeous treats behind the counter are unbelievable. Some of us got cupcakes to take back... More

We try to stop in with every trip to New Orleans. Typically we get the gelato (which is a very hard choice to make - my favorite is the coconut and basil), but on this trip we decided since it was King Cake Season, we would try something different. We purchased a king cake bread pudding tart and it was... More

I went here on a food tour, and everything I tasted was so good! We had some King Cake, some red velvet cupcake, some chocolates, and gelato. I had the Charlie Brownie gelato and the King Cake gelato, and I loved them both. If you're craving something sweet, make sure to stop by!

Thank Jennifer B

Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
