It was the best out of all the dishes we got. We also got the Tuscan kale as an appetizer and it was probably the best kale I have ever eaten. Definitely make reservation. The waiter was very knowledgeable since we had no idea what half the menu was. Very patient with us as well.

Amazing margarita pizza BUT the BEST thing they have on their menu is the lasagna. The best I have ever had anywhere. The service was perfect and the dessert at the end was exactly what the meal called for.

We had a reservation for the following night, but came across it by accident as we head out of our hotel (The Ritz) the night before - if you're staying there, it's too close to not try this place! Great vibe, dimly lit, but still great for people watching. The food didn't disappoint - and it's hard to impress a... More

The attire is casual to formal. The food ranges from risotto with mushrooms and duck confit to pizza. There truly is something for every taste bud.

Decided to have dinner here after reading TA & other reviews. My husband is a vegetarian & they had options. Maybe the best Italian food I've ever had & I've had my share in NY, San Francisco & Boston. First, we had their signature roasted cauliflower; well done! Perfectly roasted to bring out nuttiness/sweetness & served with feta/cream sauce. Very... More

We arrived without a reservation and did not have time to finish our drinks at the bar before we were seated. The service was excellent as was the food. If you like Italian you need to visit this restaurant.

If you are looking for a place to eat in New Orleans, this is a must. Dominica restaurant is located in The Roosevelt, Waldorf Hotel. Every part of the meal was amazing from the apps to dessert. The service was also great! If you enjoy Italian food, don't miss out on this place. As a bonus it was reasonably priced... More

Nearly three years ago to the day I wrote a shining review of Domenica. It was such a memorable lunch and I have been so excited about going back to dine there. But sadly, in a city where there are innumerable choices of fabulous meals, I will not be in future. The menu has changed and the Israeli-influenced dishes such... More

I love Italian food, and Domenica is simply the finest Italian restaurant I have personally ever dined at. Of course, there are many who can say the same thing about another Italian food restaurant, but there is simply nothing I can say negative about this fine restaurant. The appetizers were unique, as we tried a "board" which and slices of... More

We had the yard bird pizza, burrata salad, and some drinks. Our server was one of the top servers I've experienced which I can say consistently about our experience in NOLA. Loved everything.

Domenica is a contemporary and inviting Italian restaurant that creates regional Italian dishes with southern and middle eastern influences. The cuisine combines Chef Alon Shaya's Israeli heritage and love of local ingredients with a menu that reflects his time spent cooking and living in the small towns of northern Italy.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
