We had a great experience here! It was busy but we got seated right away. It was a rainy day so I ordered the French onion soup. It came right away. Yen we ordered the new orleans sampler and it was amazing! Our waitress was super nice and we were able to watch krewe de cork from the window! My... More

OMG reading other reviews I cannot understand how one had a bad experience. While spending 5 days in NOLA, we ended up here twice. Best experience with NOLA food. Ordered to share, alligator bites, seafood étouffée(awesome), gumboa (little blah), red bean and rice(new favourite dish), bread pudding(yummy). Later came back to sit at the bar, where we watch Nirobe shuck... More

Tried to go there for a birthday celebration but when we tried to order alcohol the waitress requested IDs. We had our driver licenses but they ONLY ACCEPT PASSPORTS. Who walks around the French Quarter/Bourbon St. at night with their passport? This is the first time a restaurant has requested to see our PASSPORT in the U.S. The hostess should... More

Well where to start...I...we got seated quickly and the staff was nice enough. Our server was obviously new and overwhelmed so I'd like to make exception for her but the food delivery staff THREE times brought the wrong meals to our tables. I was excited to try some real NO Gumbo and was left highly disappointed. What I got was... More

First and second time visitors to the big easy and we were looking for a last minute place to eat for the night. Thought we would give this place a shot. However I must say it did not meet our expectations. Fries were cold. My mothers shrimp pasta dish had very little shrimp in it. The bread was very hard... More

This was our first trip to New Orleans and our first lunch, so we stepped out a bit for local flavor... Between my wife and I, we enjoyed the fried alligator, shrimp and grits, and "A Taste of N.O." with blackened shrimp. All were fantastic! The TofNO was comprised of: Chicken & Andouille Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffée and Chicken and Andouille... More

Started with oysters, that is what this place is known for! Half shell, Rockefeller, Royale - our group shared and enjoyed. As my "meal" I had the spinach salad with grilled shrimp. Salad was on the small side, but with the shrimp became more of a meal. It was good, but not great. Service is usually amazing. This visit I... More

We were wandering the quarter and walked upon this place. We were lucky enough to sit on the second floor balcony and watch the street / listen to music as we ate, I had the shrimp creole. It was delicious. I stole a hush puppy off my husband's plate and it was amazing, just the slightest kick. Neither of us... More

My wife and I happened to stumble upon this great restaurant. The food was excellent and so were the drinks. The crab claws appetizers were delicious! Reasonably priced for the French Quarter.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
