Out having a good time on Bourbon and decided to eat dinner after a appetizer of crawfish at Saints and Sinners restaurants. This place had wonderful seafood pasta!! The shrimp was as fresh and flavorful as it gets!! For dessert for four, tried the strawberry cheesecake and chocolate brownie sundae. Basic desserts but added the ending to a great dinner... More

This restaurant has excellent service and food. We enjoyed our meals-of course we order seafood and enjoyed the crab cakes immensely. It is a "quiet" and slower escape from the busy Bourbon Street crowd. You will enjoy the atmosphere so sit back and enjoy.

We shared fried alligator appetizer ($12). It was tasty but heavily battered. Batter was well seasoned and the horseradish crema was excellent. Husband LOVED eating Pecan fish with Amaretto glaze accompanied by sweet potato fries ($17). He said it was like eating dessert as entree. I got New Orleans Trio ($16) comprised of 3 cups: red beans and rice (my... More

Sherri and I were in New Orleans over the Christmas holiday and stopped in Pier 424 for some fresh and broiled oysters. We sat at the bar and the service was great and the oysters were big, sweet and wonderful. We will be back!

Popped in for a bite to eat and a cool beer in stifling heat and humidity. Service prompt and my shrimp po-boy hit the spot. Not easy to choose from all the other diners, this is as good as any and better than many.

Having visited NOLA many times over 30+ years, Pier 424 was a first. Tired from traveling and heavily raining on Bourbon Street, we popped into this packed house on a special event weekend. And am I glad we did! From the hostess to our server, the staff was upbeat, friendly and accommodating. Our guy really had too many tables to... More

My wife and I ate at all of the higher rated restaurants here in the Big Easy this week. I actually had my best meal here. Reasonable for 17 dollars was a huge piece of fresh Blackened Redfish, Jambalaya, and vegetables. All were fantastic. My wife had a burger which she really enjoyed.

I was in the mood for oysters, and even though several people told me to check out Acme their line was ridiculous. I decided on 424, and was pleased with my choice. Their oysters couldn't be fresher....the only suggestion is to have hotter horseradish. Service was very good, and I enjoyed my time at 424. I will certainly return the... More

I've spent quite a bit of my childhood in the Ches Bay area so I know crabcakes. Why ruin good lump crab by breading the heck out of it then overfrying? Flavor wasn't bad but $12 for breading and three pieces of lump crab was a real disappointment. Glad it was all I ordered. Won't be returning. Service was excellent... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
