Went here on our first night. Inside a gorgeous hotel. We were disappointed by the really basic crowd in the bar (cargo shorts, ugh!). But sat at the revolving bar and had great service, great cocktails as we went around and around. Lots of cougars...More

A trip to New Orelans would not be complete with a drink at the carousel bar. It is on the first floor of the beautiful Hotel Monteleone. A great place to unwind.

Bar rotates in 15 minutes - fun atmosphere. Lines waiting to get a seat , but plenty of seating in rest of bar. Excellent service, worth the wait.

In the Monteleone Hotel. Well, the seats and the bar slowly spin around the bar itself. The bartenders have to hop over the bar to get in or out. It's lively, fun and a seat there is highly sought after. The minute someone gets up...More

Very attractive bar with a moving carousel. Bar opens at 11:00 am and the line starts building around 10:45 am all day, all night. Great entertainment.

We stayed in the hotel and this bar is hopping all the time. Service was excellent, drinks were prepared very well, live music and the bar just going in circles all night long.

Definitely worth the trip if you can get two seats together like my friend and I did! The rotating bar is so much fun. The bloody mary's are good too!

You have to check out this historic bar while in NOLA. It makes a complete revolution in 15 minutes dating back to 1949. Great nostalgic place to hit. Drinks are spot on.

I've yet to be able to actually eat here because it's always packed everytime we go there. It's a very small place, so there isn't a lot of room anyway, but we apparently always hit a rush.

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty

of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

Yes but they can't sit at the bar. There is an open seating area where the live music is played and this is where kids may sit. Don't miss it !! :)

It is a beautiful, historic 'bar'. I would be comfortable in saying casual, to dressy casual, if you were going in the evening. But, honestly, anything really is okay in French Quarter...especially if you are going to just... More
